It always makes me laugh when people think that Australia has the best immigration policy in the world. When really it is horrendously draconian and invasive, and they are a country of abject racists against their indigenous people. They have many terms for the Aboriginal Australia citizens, and they speak of the “abos” as if they are a piece of dirt on their shoe, all of this is universally accepted and I was quite shocked when I was over there to hear such racism being aired in public as if nothing was wrong with it. Their immigration legislation is not there to protect the “indigenous” natives of the land, but the immigrants themselves who moved there and took over the country as their own. They also have one of the biggest net migration rates in the world, coming about 14th in the list I think, whereas Britain is much further down into the 40th places.

I feel bad now

Because my tutor has just emailed me back, after I replied to the email, asking if I’m ok and when I come in on Monday for another meeting he’s going to make sure I can use the lift.

Over reacting again. Silly me!

He was probably just pissed off that everyone else didn’t bother turning up, cos he cc’d that email to about 8 people.

I am pissed off

I have the biggest dickhead for a dissertation tutor ever. Just found this sarcastic email from him after I contacted him saying I was unable to make one of the meetings on Monday cos of my accident.

Dear MIS Students

I’m afraid it isn’t possible to repeat the literature review session I did on Monday.

I emailed you all in individually AND placed notices on the notice board for this event.  It is essential that you read the notice board and attend arranged MIS sessions.  With the best will in the world, I cannot run a session for those that attend and then run individual sessions on demand.  The week when meetings will take place is indicated in the handbook and I have taken the trouble to email you all as well as placing the notices.

The next stage in the process is to go through your proposals which I have now completed.  I will do this on Monday morning.  I will be in my room (215) and will be available for you to pick up your proposals

It’s not like I was asking him to write the fucking thing for me, and I understand his time is precious, but all I wanted was maybe an overview of what went on in the session so I wasn’t completely in the dark. I don’t get why he’s going on about putting notices up, I KNEW the date it was going to happen so it’s not that I intentionally missed it or forgot about it, I emailed him in enough time to apologise for not turning up and this is the dickheaded reply I get :(

Dunno what I’m gonna do now, might have to try contact one of the students that actually went along and ask if I can get a run through from them.
